I observed this young woman at the Van Gogh in Amsterdam viewing the painting of the Yellow House. I thought her yellow shoes were wonderful.

kevin, thanks for referring me to this piece and giving me the background on it....gives a fuller explanation to her contemplative pose . i identify with the drips in the sunny yellow background....she had to be looking at vangogh...i feel and see the tears!

A well drawn figure and the bg works so well with this. Great color and patterns and those shoes! Gotta love 'em! Well done, Kevin! My fav of yours.

Charles mentions Klimt, and I am also reminded of Klimt by the fabric pattern in this young woman's tunic. I love that, with her yellow shoes - Crocs, I think; and the soft earthier colors of the background, and the black of her tights.

once again inline with the others and their comments. Reminds me of a modern Gutav Klimt or even Egon Schiele in a more reserved posture than was normal for him. this is no way to suggest derivation just a similar visual dialect. Very well done - my favorite so far.
