Artist's Description

In 2005, while on a return flight from a show, I was reading Peggy Guggenheim: Confessions of an Art Addict. I was intrigued by a photo of the bed that was made for Peggy by the artist, Alexander Calder. When I finished the book I pulled out my sketchbook and did a rather abstract version of the bed. It got me thinking about what famous artists MIGHT have painted, if they were stuck in a plane or an airport. What followed over the next two years is a series of watercolors in my sketchbooks that reflect my whimsical view of modern jet travel. Enjoy.
