Tracey and Joe are old neighbors and friends. They were at our home for dinner. I always loved the way Tracy looked.

I love the immediacy of your portraits and how you catch expression & also love your interestinig backgrounds. Any suggestions to improve my portrait painting are welcome! Also like your sense of humor and 'eye' for the lovely and poignant in nature. Good make that Great Work. Liz

Hi..again.. I went over the limit with words!!!! so, maybe I'm completely "west" in what I feel about it, but I bet that your friend felt very special ....

Hi Kevin, I just love the way you rendered her smile... you missed nothing! what I like the best is her lips, I can't quite describe it in words but along with her eyes I can feel some genuine happiness with a hint of "mischief" in her feeling of the moment. The glass of wine and the background [ very, very cool- the contrast-] give also a huge sense of out of time.. she is happy and "away in her thoughts".

Hi Kevin, I noticed this new piece today and as usual, outstanding work. She looks like someone fun to be around. Thanks for bringing Charlie (gorilla) out to play (and the kind words). Hubby doesn't leave for Africa till Sept 1, but you'd think it was tomorrow going by how excited he is. SUCH a lot of paperwork! I hope he views Charlie's cousins from a good distance...
