oh Kevin!!!!! Saw this in the wildlife discussion and just couldn't resist coming by to get a closer look ... he's totally, totally darling!!!!!!! What a sweet face!!!!!!! I'm so glad he's okay ... bless his heart!!! Around here it's just assumed that they all have rabies ... so sad ... so it's a joy to see one that's healthy!!!!!

You're a good man, Charlie Brown. We had a pet 'coon too. He would steal the baby's bottle and it was a riot to watch the little bandit turn over on his backside and hold the jug in his hands. Generally, a quick bite on the rubber nipple and the milk spilled all over the place. Boony Coon never figured out the way to properly go about this task. ;-D He got drenched every time.

Artist's Description

I found this little fellow hanging by one foot caught in my dogs feeder. He was decidedly unhappy and had worn all the skin off of his ankle. A quick pry of the crowbar released him. He stuck around long enough for me to take several pictures and spent the rest of the day sleeping on our woodpile. In the morning he had moved on. It was difficult to resist trying to pet him he was so cute. But I managed. I had a pet raccoon as a small boy and I know how clever they can be.
