The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. West of Hono the highway narrows to a 2-lane, drifting along the ocean front. Out in Waiane the tourists are rare, if any at all. This is home to the native Hawaiians and not welcoming to mainlanders. This is the provenence of the Hawaiian secessionists and Dog the Bounty Hunter. There are signs calling on God to return the islands to the islanders. A different world to be sure.

I completed a Painting Intensive at the San Francisco Art Institute, studying with world renown Israeli artist Larry Abramson and at at the Ox-Bow School of the Art Institute Chicago under Phil Hanson and Michelle Grabner.
